Life is hard, therefore I have multiple jobs. One of those jobs happens to involve working with kids in an after school program once a week. Sometimes I have a hard time deciding what to wear because I want to be appropriate for K-5th graders and I want to make sure what I wear won’t get ruined by art supplies & permanent markers, but since I am usually doing things before and after work, I don’t exactly want to go to work looking like a bum.
So here is what I wore this week to work with the kiddies, and also out for coffee with a friend. It’s casual, very appropriate for children, extremely comfortable, and each item can be worn with multiple, other outfits!
Blue tunic, dark wash skinny jeans, black leather skinny belt
Metallic color block flats, re-used from 2010/2011. Keep things in good shape and you can wear them forever!

The jeans are from express, the shoes, belt, and top are from J. Crew, and the trench…I bought for 15 bucks at Nordstrom Rack a few years ago to use in my Carmen San Diego Halloween costume, and I’ve been using it ever since.
